From the Principal

Welcome back to the Years 3 to 6 students.  It is great to have the students all together again after such a long time.  All the students have adapted so easily to the new staggered timetables for recess and lunchtimes, their learning times and the heightened sanitisation levels. Our children are showing how resilient they are becoming with the changes that have been placed in front of them and must be congratulated for embracing this new normal.   Their eagerness to re-engage with their peers in class has been evident by the buzz of electric and rich conversations that center around their work.

As we approach the end of Term 2 we farewell the following families who will not be returning and wish them the best of good luck as they start at their new  schools.  May they all take with them fond memories of our school and the contributions made to their child's learning.

Luciana: Whose family is relocating interstate and making a new start.

Tadhg: Moving to a new school. Thank you to Tony and Nikki for their contribution to the school community by being active members of the PFA especially with the Bi-Annual Fair and Nikki's contribution as a member of the SAT committee.

Amanda and Golden who are moving to another suburb after a short stay.

Aoibheann: whose family is returning to Ireland after a short stay in Australia.  May their time in Australia be a memorable one.

Welcome to Charlotte and Chloe in Years 1 and their parents who have moved into our area.  I hope that you find our school community vibrant and welcoming.

The end of term is almost here and, even though the students have only been on site a few weeks, the students need a well deserved rest.

The staff are also looking for a time to rest. They need the time to recover from the intense work that they put towards the preparation of the Distance Learning and the intensity of the online platforms that they worked with each day.  They are to be congratulated on the way they engaged with each child and were able to work with them with the designated tasks for the day.  This was a partnership with parents and we know that your contribution was evident many times during this period.

We can all be very proud of the positive outcome our school achieved  during this time.

School Semester 1 Reports

The reports are currently being prepared by the teachers and will be distributed the first week of Term 3 on Wednesday 15 July.  Parent Teacher Google meet meetings will be held over Tuesday 21 July and Wednesday 22 July. More information will be sent out separately.

Parent Social Distancing at the end of the day.

A reminder that we are asked to keep the recommended social distance according to Health Department recommendation.

End of Term 2

The students will finish school early on Friday, 26th June. Students whose surnames start with A-K will be dismissed at 1.20pm and students whose surnames start with L-Z will be dismissed at 1.30pm.

Happy and safe holidays to all families and I look forward to seeing everyone on their return to school on Monday 13 July.

Yours sincerely
