Mobile Phones - Student Use Policy
The Victorian Government takes the safe and responsible use of digital technologies, student safety and wellbeing, and the development of social skills and positive behaviour, very seriously. On this basis, the Hon. James Merlino MP, Minister for Education, announced that a new mobile phone policy would take effect from Term one 2020.
From Term 1 2020, students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them switched off and securely stored during school hours.
Students will be required to store their mobile phones in their lockers for the duration of the school day. Mobile phones owned by students are brought to schools at the owner’s risk. Please refer to the Department’s Personal Goods policy.
Please see our school policy on Mobile Phones – Student Use. We appreciate the support of our families and community in helping us to enforce this mandatory policy. A list of FAQ’s can be found at https://www.education.vic.gov.au/parents/going-to-school/Pages/Mobile-phone-FAQs.aspx. If you have any other questions please contact the College on 5996 0144.
Additional information regarding the DET policy is available on the Department of Education and Training’s website; (use the above link.)
School Photo's Day
Open Night
We are hosting our annual Open Night on Wednesday March 25th. As we welcome our current families and students, we wish to invite prospective families and students from our local community to attend. The evening starts at 6:30pm with a sausage sizzle followed by formal proceedings. At 7:00pm, there will be an Address and Welcome from our Principal and College Captains. Visitors will be split into groups after this and our student tour guides will take guests on a tour of our grounds allowing interaction and involvement in various different curriculum areas. We look forward to meeting everyone then.
