We have been very hard at work over the past two months creating our multi-media piece of art. We have been focusing on the element of ‘line’, as it is an incredibly important part of starting and developing an artwork.
We have practised different line patterns, used contour lines and used clever lines to create texture such as fluffy, rough, smooth, spikey etc.
The work you are looking at has taken approximately 8 x 50 minute sessions. The students have done an excellent job at using many of the art elements (line, colour, shape, texture) to complete their work. Great work Preps!!

Staff Portrait Paintings
When you come into Kingswood’s office area, have a look at the wonderful art work painted by the staff. We had an evening, guided by Mrs Denise Stach, where we painted another Staff member ‘Picasso style’. The name you see signed at the bottom of the painting is the artist, however, the actual painting is of another staff member. Who do you think they are?
Some Staff found this a challenge as they had never painted onto a canvas before, but most went home feeling good about the experience and happy to have taken a risk to participate. Well done!
