Join us for NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME 2019!

This day marks the 19th National Simultaneous Storytime event, hosted by the Australian Library and Information Association. Each year a picture book is selected for a simultaneous read-aloud event held in libraries, schools, pre-schools, family homes, childcare centres, bookshops, children’s hospitals and communities across Australia and New Zealand, where two nations read together as one. This year we will be reading Alpacas with Maracas written by Matt Cosgrove, at precisely 11.15 am, in all areas of the school. So parents and caregivers, please feel free to join your children during the reading of this book.

Last week the Year 5 and 6 students were asked to borrow a non fiction Book from the Library, and to find one interesting fact from the book. The intention was to choose the 5 best facts from each grade, but they were all so interesting, I have decided to include them all in this Newsletter. I hope you all take the time to read through them, and perhaps learn something new yourself.
