Principal's Report

A message from the Principal
Dear Families and Friends of Nazareth College
Welcome to the first edition of the 2017 school Newsletter. It is a significant edition as it is the first time I write to you as the Principal of Nazareth College. I am honoured and I express my thanks for the warm welcome I have received.
My initial impressions are that Nazareth College is truly a fantastic school. It is 'Christ centred' in numerous ways – a welcoming community which goes out of its way to assist others. The Nazareth College Parents' Association attests to this. They, in the initial three weeks of school, have been of service to the school and the community by providing opportunities for all parents at numerous College events.
A school community that has proactive supports in place thrives. So, I personally, would like to thank Helene Diamantopoulos – President of the NCPA – and her Committee for the part they play in assisting the Nazareth Community.
I would also like to welcome a number of new families who have joined Nazareth this year, especially the families whose children are in Years 8 – 12. It is not easy coming into a new community. I urge you to please attend as many College functions as possible as these will be ideal opportunities for you to make new connections.
Welcome to the one hundred and ten (110) Year 7 students and their families. Your energy and membership of Nazareth College has added another level to our already existing diverse community. A warm welcome to all.
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
