Fluency Pairs in Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are learning to read! What better way than to read to a peer! 

Each morning, students read a decodable book for 3 minutes straight while their partner tracks on their own copy of the book. Once the buzzer goes off, students swap. Some students are also on Reading Doctor during this time to practise their letter/sound recognition and blending of sounds. 

Kindergarten students are reading ALL the time. They read to the teacher, read to their Year 6 buddy and read to a peer. We love watching them grow!
