Year 2 Werribee Mansion Excursion

Year 2 Families and Carers,

We wanted to share with you the incredible experience our students had recently on their excursion to the Werribee Mansion. It was an outing filled with adventure, discovery, and valuable learning opportunities. Our trip to Werribee Mansion perfectly aligned with our History inquiry unit, where we have been exploring how Werribee and Truganina have evolved over the years. 

The excursion provided an excellent opportunity for our students to witness firsthand the rich history that surrounds our local area. Our students engaged in activities, where they learned about Werribee Park's transformation from farmland to the estate it is today. From the beautiful gardens' development to the mansion's construction, the children gained a deep appreciation for the history behind this remarkable landmark, allowing them to make connections between the past and present, and understand how their own community has evolved.
