From the Principal

Welcome to Week 9

The Concert is almost here, it will take place on Thursday, July 6th in the Sacred Heart Centre.  As you are aware, there will be a few performances during the day/evening to ensure all who are keen to see the show get to come along.  There are two performances during the day (commencing at 10:00 and 1:00) and one in the evening commencing at 6:30.  Each class/cohort will perform an item.   All families should have received their tickets for the 6.30p.m. session.  Thank you to those families who have returned the tickets they don't require. There are extra tickets available for the 6.30p.m. session.  To request more tickets please contact the office. (No tickets are required for the day sessions). Seats at the events are not allocated, you find a seat upon entry.  Young children may sit on an adult's lap, they don't have an allocated seat unless they have a ticket.  Doors will open 30 minutes before each session.  We ask that children are dropped at their classrooms for the evening session at  6:00p.m.  Children will be picked up from their rooms at the conclusion of the event.  Running time is approximately 60 minutes.  A big reminder that this is our last day for the term.

The demolition of the existing verandah behind the administration area and student toilet block has started. The fencing off of the worksite has taken place on Monday.  For an extended period of time, there will not be access to the school via the western gate near the gym.  All entry to the school grounds will be via the front gate on the eastern side of the office and via the gate off Barrington Avenue. There will not be access to the school grounds via the front office.  Students who need to come to the office/first aid room during the day will access it through the library.  This is working well, thank you for your co-operation.

A big thank you to the Receptions who led us in today's Assembly.  It was great to hear from all the children who let us know about the wonderful things they have been doing. The children led the whole school in a rendition of the Baby Shark Song to conclude the gathering...great stuff!

All the best to our year 3/4/5/6 netball teams who will be taking part in the Catholic Carnival commencing on Friday.  The students have been preparing for the event as part of their weekly Physical Education lessons and keen to hit the court and test their skills against other Catholic school students.

A reminder that Mark Le Messurier is presenting a workshop entitled ASD and its impact on your family. The evening, hosted by Catholic School Parents SA, will take place on Tuesday, July 4 at St John the Baptist Catholic School, Plympton.  Further information  can be found in this edition in the Advertisements section.
