PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE 2020

The Premier's Reading Challenge for 2020 is now concluded.

WELL DONE to all students who have completed the Premier's Reading Challenge.

477 STUDENTS VALIDATED TODAY

The students who have completed the Challenge feature on our library PRC "trees" and the trees continue to grow and flourish as I complete the final validations.

Yr1 INTEGRATING LITERATURE AND TECHNOLOGY

Yr 1 have had fun reading "One Runaway Rabbit" by David Metzenthen, listed in the 'Book Of The Year: Early Childhood, Children's Book Council Of Australia 2020 Short List'.

After we shared the story the students were given a map on which to plot where "Lulu" the rabbit would sneak out of her backyard and then find her way back again before the wolf captured her. Using special marker pens and our little ozobot friends we set about creating a trail. Sometimes it worked and when it didn't we learnt to make adjustments and work with others in a team. Well done Yr 1.

Unfortunately, adults will not be permitted to enter school grounds and therefore entry to the BOOK FAIR will not be happening. I have been in consultation with Scholastic Book Fairs to ensure online payments can be easily done.  An information flyer will be released soon, thank you for your patience.

Town Library Visits also make up part of the activities surrounding Book Week.

Thank you to Amy from the Town Library who will be looking to provide us with some contact perhaps via Zoom and a surprise initiative.
