REMOTE LEARNING

What Has Remote Learning 2.0 Looked Like For Me And My Family...

For me remote learning 2.0 it has been very busy. It has been busy because my brother still goes to school so dad has to drop him off while I am on the 9:00 [That is if it is long] but sometimes on Tuesdays and Fridays I get to drop him off. That is because on every other day [besides weekends] my mum has placement but she does it from home. But still when she is at home, I still can't talk to her when I need help because sometimes she is in meetings, and also we have lots of Zoom meetings a day. So that about sums it up on how Remote Learning 2.0 looked like for Me and my Family.

It’s not that bad!

Remote learning has affected us all. You might think that it's only hard for you but people all over the world are finding it difficult. It’s not all that bad if you think about it, you get to spend more time with your family, you don’t have to get dressed in your school uniform every day, you get to sleep in and have lazy mornings. Remote learning is not that bad, give it a go.

Make the most of it!

I know that my dog has loved me being home more! Throwing the ball out the back and taking her for more walks. If you have a pet, play with them and have fun. They miss you when you're at school.

In remote learning you don’t have to do as much work then when you're at school. But remember you're not on a holiday, you still have to do schoolwork just not as much.

So, in this remote learning time make the most of your time at home, have fun!

ACS Remote Learning 2.0

ACS Remote Learning 2.0 is great because it gives students time to do things they want, when they finish their schoolwork. Kids enjoy spending time with their pets, so Remote Learning 2.0 gives them time to spend time with and play with their furry friends, the pets get more attention than usual, and they will create a better bond with their owners. Also, remote learning is great because student’s friends aren’t there to talk to them or distract them from doing their schoolwork.

Thanks ACS! :D

I have been waiting to go back to school as fast as I can. I can’t wait for school

to start again. It would be great to see my friends and talk to them in PERSON!

I have been missing them so much and talking to them in person. (FACE TO FACE)

Family-

I have been helping my brother Antarveer with his work and explaining it to him. He's in grade three and I’m in grade 6. Rana, my other brother, we have been learning together because we’re both in grade 6. My older sister is in high school year 8. She does most of her study in her room, but me and my brother do it in our study.

Outside-

We go in our back yard sometimes and just play on the trampoline. Whenever I go upstairs I love going to the balcony and just sitting there. I like looking at the park that is right in front of our house. Whenever I look at the park it reminds me of the times I played at the park with my siblings also my grandma and grandpa.

Solar Buddy

A huge THANK YOU to families who have already donated! (All donations are 100% tax deductable)

As part of PC4L and Inquiry learning, Armstrong Creek School students will be:

  • Learning about energy poverty, renewable energy, global citizenship and sharing this message with the community,
  • Fundraising for SolarBuddy via. GoFundMe,
  • Using the donations to construct a solar light and write a personal letter to their buddy,
  • Illuminate futures of children living in energy poverty and watching a recording of the delivery of their light to a country in need.

Ideas students could participate in to be sponsored include:

  1. At home walkathon: with students being sponsored to walk a certain number of steps or for a specific time period on the spot or around their home or back yard.
  2. Give up Challenge: students give up something for a day, 48hrs, week, etc. and get sponsorship for it. They could give up tv, video games etc.
