Grade 8/9 Boys Basketball
The Grade 8/9 SCC boys basketball team made it through to the finals for this season, winning their last game 49:22. In the words of their amazing coach Nigel Dunn, “A great team, really coming in to some form before the finals.” Next week’s semi final should be an exciting game to watch!

Kingborough Netball Association (KNA) - Primary Netball Spring Roster
KNA welcomes new and returning teams for the KNA Spring Roster 2022 commencing Monday, 19 September 2022. The Roster is played for 10 rounds, ending Monday, 12 December 2022, with no games played on 03 and 10 October due to school holidays.
Sessions are held at the following times:
- Grades 3/4 - 4.10pm-5.00pm & 5.00pm-6.00pm
- Grades 5/6 – 5.00pm-6.00pm & 6.00pm-7.00pm
Fees for this season are:
- $55 KNA Spring Roster Fee +
- $50.50 Netball Tasmania Fee* - 12 month fee that covers whole calendar year – many club and returning winter roster players have paid this fee or
- $25.25 – which covers 3 month fee this will apply to those new to the Spring Roster and have not played club or in the winter roster.
- $3.37 Netball Australia Fee*.
* these fees are not paid again if you play in any other netball activities where these fees would be charged within the same calendar year of payment.
In summary – returning players from the KNA Winter Roster and/or Club Players – cost is $55.00 KNA Spring Roster Fee.
New to the KNA Spring Roster and who have not played before or this year - $83.62 (includes KNA Fee, Netball Tas Fee (3mths cover) & Netball Australia Fee).
A player will not be able to take to the court for their first game until they are registered. For this reason, all players will need to register by Thursday, 15 September 2022.

Ticket to Play (Repeat)
Ticket to Play is a Tasmanian Government initiative designed to reduce the cost of sport and active recreation membership and/or registration for eligible children.
Ticket to Play provides two vouchers worth up to $100 each towards club membership fees for children aged 5-18 years who are listed on a Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card or are in Out of Home Care. Vouchers can be used at two different activity providers, or both can be used at one activity provider.
The key objective of Ticket to Play is to increase the number of young Tasmanians participating in sport and active recreation.
Who is eligible for a voucher?
Applicants must be:
- aged between 5 and 18 years old at the time of application; and
- listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card (either their own or their parent, guardian or carer’s) or be in Out of Home Care.
What can I use a voucher for?
Vouchers can be used toward the cost of club membership or registration fees at Tasmanian sport or recreation organisations who are listed as an approved activity provider. Click here to search for Approved Activity Providers.

Hobart Gang Show is an annual theatre production with songs, dancing, skits and laughter. Great family entertainment - written, produced and performed by Scouts and Guides of Hobart and surrounds. Hobart Gang Show has been performing for over 40 years giving youth a chance to grow their skills in all areas of the performing arts - script, songs, music, choreography, back-stage work, set construction, costuming, directing and/or performing.
