Art Competition for SA
The Secondary students hosted an Art competition for their Service in Action. These are our three Primary winners with their prizes. Congratulations to all who took part.
Community Night
Southern Christian College invites our community to join us and share a meal together at our Community Night hosted on Thursday 8 September from 5:30pm to 7pm.
We will be gathering between the Auditorium and the outdoor Deck area to enjoy a BBQ served from 5:45pm and you will meet our new Principal, Mrs Jodie Bennett, who will be addressing the community from 6:30pm.
We look forward to celebrating our community and gathering together in prayer and worship once again. Please take the time to complete the survey for catering purposes.

Open Week at SCC
Southern Christian College will be hosting an Open Week during Week 10 of this Term, 26-30 September. You and your friends are invited to join us, so please invite them along too as we host a number of events throughout the week. We will have information sessions and daily group tours as well as a Kinder Taster Session on the Thursday Morning. There will also be a Student/Parent Information Evening for families that are exploring options for Grade 7 in 2023.

We look forward sharing some of what makes our school special with the wider community.

Book Fair
This year we have partnered with Scholastic to sell a beautiful range of children’s books and stationery. The funds raised from this will go back into the library, allowing us to purchase more resources. Students will have the opportunity to browse the selection and fill out a ‘wish list’ to take home. Adults can then provide cash or pay online for the items. Students will have the opportunity to visit and purchase from the Book Fair from Wednesday 31 August to Friday 3 September during lunch and allocated class time.
For students in Grades 4 and 5 who are at camp, the Book Fair will occur in the week prior during library lessons. Parents are invited to come to the book fair with their children on Friday afternoon between 3:15pm and 4:00pm. Please enter via the carpark library door should you wish to view or purchase.
SCC Midford Uniform Shop - CLOSED next Wednesday for stocktake!
The Uniform Shop will be closed for stocktake next Wednesday, 24 August and will re-open the next day, Thursday afternoon as usual from 12:30-3:30pm.

Mrs Bennett braving the cold for the Salvos Sleep Out (Repeat)
Mrs Jodie Bennett is participating in the Salvos Sleep Out on Thursday 25 August at the Kingston Surf Life Saving Club. This is what Mrs Bennett has said about the sleep out and why she is doing it:
I'm taking part in the Salvos Sleep Out because I want to make a difference for those experiencing homelessness in Tasmania.
