Acting Principal's Report

I acknowledge the First Peoples of our nation and the traditional custodians of the land on which our beautiful school stands, The Wathaurong people. I pay my respects to the Wathaurong people and acknowledge their contribution and care of the land and waters on which our school community works and lives. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge and thank all First Nations people within the Miners Rest School Community.

Please join us

We look forward to welcoming lots of friends and families on Friday to our Footy Parade and would love to see you walking to school on Friday morning. We have been delighted with our community presence at events this term, so please come and join us to finish the term.

The end to a busy term

It has been a busy term filled with lots of events to enhance student learning including incursions, excursions, camps, family nights, learning celebrations and parades. We have also welcomed families to the school to engage in Student-led Conferences and enjoyed visits to the school from our Kindergarten children and staff.

Next term, we look forward to the F-4 Swimming Program, Year 5 and Year 6 Camp, Year 2 Sleepover and K-F and Year 6-7 Transition. Family opportunities to engage in celebrations with us will continue throughout the term, with the annual highlight of Presentation Evening. Please stay tuned to the weekly school newsletter for more information next term.

Happy Holidays!

As the term comes to a close, so does my time as Acting Principal. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take on this role at our school and would like to sincerely thank our students, families and staff for their support and encouragement throughout the term.

I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break over the holiday period and look forward to seeing you all in Term Four.
