National School Futsal Titles

On the weekend of 27-30 October 2022 our Soccer Academy had 3 teams that travelled to Brisbane to participate in the National School Futsal Titles. By all accounts it was a fantastic trip and we would like to thank all the students, families and teachers involved in making the trip possible and so memorable.

The under 13 boys fought very hard throughtout their group stage and never gave up despite finishing with 1 draw and 3 losses. The key take aways were how the group grew closer together throughout the trip and how it allowed all the players to see the level of some of the best players in the country for their age group. An invaluable learning experience for our youngest group of players which we know will come back better and stronger next time around. 

The under 16 girls were so close to making a grand final only missing out on goal difference. They ended the tournament with 2 wins and 3 losses but were outstanding throughout the trip given some of the challenges they faced. We think there is lots more to come from this group over the next couple years.

Despite going down in the grand final the under 16 boys made history for our academy as the first team to ever make a final at a national competition (Futsal or 11v11). The quality of futsal displayed on the court and the attitude they carried themselves with throughout the whole camp was admirable. Losing in a final always hurts but finishing as runners up was fantastic and all we can say is well done on your efforts, you should be very proud! 

We love providing these opportunities to our students as win or lose there are so many instances to learn, build relationships and make memories that last a lifetime!
