HoL's Diary:

Wednesday 2nd October

Today in hands on learning we went to Bunnings and made plant holders. Dee gave us all a golden hammer with gift cards that we can use to purchase items from Bunnings. After that we left and had lunch at Watergardens.

Wednesday 5th October

Organised our plans for future sessions and discussed as well as cleaned the whole shed ready to go for the term.

Wednesday 12th October

Finished our welcome sign and half completed two planter boxes. During lunch we held a HoLs farmers market in the staffroom, selling our 'home' grown herbs and vegetables.  We also made delicious ham burgers which we enjoyed eating.

Wednesday 19th October

Put up another farmers market, sanded planter boxes ready for painting, built another work bench and made tacos.

Wednesday 26th October

Today we had an open day where all staff were welcome to come to our shed and see what we have been doing. We made rum balls for anyone who came in to enjoy. The boys all painted the planter boxes, Jordan, Nat and Kay made a vertical garden box.

Thank you to all the staff who came to see what we were doing.

Wednesday 9th November

We focused on finishing our garden beds, the bench boards and for lunch we all worked as a team to make a el Salvadoran dish called papusas and ended the day with marking vertical garden boxes.
