Morrisby Interviews

During weeks 2, 4 and 7, our Year 9 students have been meeting individually with a Morrisby-trained Career Practitioner, who has been explaining and engaging in their Morrisby report.

A quick recap of how the Morrisby testing benefits your child for their future career:

  • They will learn about what skills and abilities they could bring to a job
  • Find out about what jobs match their abilities, interests and personality, also the subjects they need for those jobs.

We have received great feedback from students, parents and staff around this process.

Remember, we don't expect students to know exactly what they want to be when they are older, but the Morrisby process is really powerful in identifying strengths and weaknesses around subject and work choices. They more you engage in it, the more you can get out of it.

We encourage parents to be active participants in this process.

Phone Usage

We ask parents for your continued support with phone usage at school. If you need to contact your child, please contact the College on 5150 4800.

We are finding that students are being set up for confrontation in classes as they feel obliged to answer texts/calls from parents.

Thank you for your support.

2022 R U OK? Day event

The 2022 Alpine School for Student Leadership team are implementing their community learning project. The whole school will participate in a 1.3 km run (or other events) where they get coloured chalk thrown on them to raise awareness for R U OK? day during Session 4 on Thursday 8th September 2022. Students will have an option to wear out of school uniform for a gold coin donation for the entire day. All students completing the run will need to wear clothes and shoes they do not mind getting dirty, no student can participate if they are in school uniform.

  • All students are required to change into clean clothes before departing the college.
  • Students who are covered in colour and have not changed may be declined entry onto the school buses.

Any student who doesn’t wish to participate in the run and get colour thrown on them will be able to participate in other activities.
