Tertiary scholarship opportunities

VTAC Scholarships applications are now closed but Year 12s can still apply to Victorian scholarships offered by other organisations. Either by applying direct to the tertiary institution – you can find a list here. Or the Department of Education and Training list a number of scholarship opportunities for Year 12s undertaking tertiary study in 2023 – these can be found here. And inside this Scholarships Guide you will find a range of scholarships available Australia-wide.  Year 12s are encouraged to research these scholarship opportunities to check eligibility and be informed on the application process and deadlines.

VTAC’s community information webinars have concluded and VTAC has now provided a recording of their presentation that guides you through the VTAC application process for courses commencing in 2023. Watch here.

 

REMINDER: Casper test admission requirement for tertiary courses

The Casper test is an admission requirement for Victorian undergraduate Teacher education courses and some interstate Veterinary Science courses. VTAC provides important information about the Casper admission test here and in this fact sheet. Further details about the Casper test is found on the Casper website, including Dates and Fees, Test Prep, and FAQs. Important to note: the 13 November 2022 test date is the last date to sit the Casper test to be considered for courses in VTAC’s first offer round on 21 December 2022.

Monash University - Information for parents

Destination Monash for Parents is an online resource that was established as a way of bringing parents all the information they need to support their child in having confidence in their future study options. As part of this information for parents, Monash created this Parents Guide to help parents support their child through this important time, such as helping them choose the right course and as they adjust to university life.

SAE Info Night – Thursday 13 October from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

This night is designed for school students and their families to explore career opportunities and study pathways within the creative industries right here at SAE's Melbourne campus. The campus will have displays for Animation, Audio, Design, Film, Games and Music Production to show students what a future at SAE could look like. What’s on at Info Night:

Finding opportunities to Work for Nature webinar – Thursday 13 October at 7pm

Find out how young people found their environmental career path by joining this webinar. Listen to real experiences about careers and opportunities to work in nature with interviews, panel discussion and Q&As. Volunteering abroad opportunities for teenagers

Projects Abroad run a series of specialised overseas volunteering programs tailored specifically to teenagers aged 15-18. These programs are a great way for teenagers to step outside their comfort zone and help make a difference in communities around the world. They have trips that run all throughout the year, with most designed to fit in around the school holidays. Trips run to a variety of countries all around the world and include a wide variety of volunteer activities, including education, medicine, sports, journalism, cultural immersion, and more. Students will be placed with other volunteers your age. Even if they have never been overseas before, Project Abroad staff will be there every step of the way to make sure they have the best experience possible.
