Exam Preparation

The 2022 VCE exams are fast approaching and Empire English is ready for them. Mainstream, Language and Literature have each risen to meet the challenge, offering trial exams in a safe school space. These trials were an incredible opportunity for students to experience firsthand what obstacles lie ahead and to adapt our skillsets to the requirements. We also benefited from feedback from external assessors, for many of us the first time this year our work was read by people outside Nossal. This allowed us a clear and unbiased opinion on our essays, providing a deeper insight into how we could improve. Recorded revision 

lectures released by the English department were another resource for our Year 12s, a series of fantastic podcasts and videos on subjects ranging from syntax to argument analysis. All English teachers are also currently giving revision classes, allowing for interactive learning and growth. With these incredible tools at our disposal, the class of 2022 is more than prepared for the English exams themselves - English Language on 26 October, English Mainstream on 27 October and English Literature on the 10 November.
