The ratings will change as any positive behaviour will be green only. Teachers will be able to either award a merit award linked to the Values or write a general positive comment.
GREEN – positive comments “Making a Green Values Compass Entry”
AMBER – for the majority of misbehaviour committed by students
RED – for major behaviours that may result in suspensions
GREY – noting information, such as wellbeing, attendance, illness (sick bay), first aid etc.
Enter the student's name into compass and create a chronicle entry, in the drop-down information select Merit Award and complete the entry by choosing the subject, the positive behaviour that the student displayed in class linked to the Values and a comment if you wish.
Once the entry has been completed it will be visible on the students chronicle page, a point will be awarded to their Chronicle summary and an email will be automatically sent home to parents and to the student.
