Roles & Responsibilities of the Home Group Teacher

Role of the Homegroup Teacher 

(6 minutes per day)

 

The Homegroup Teacher is central to the management and welfare of the students and plays an important role as a liaison person between the students and the college. This is a vital role for communication of the college that promotes a culture of respect and responsibility.

 

The Homegroup Teacher is responsible for:

  • Marking the roll

  • Monitoring students’ planners

  • Monitoring students’ attendance, punctuality, wellbeing and uniform and liaising with relevant Student Manager in relation to concerns or changes

  • Sending students to Student Manager for uniform passes

  • Encourage students to check emails and Compass 

Complete any other business that is required by the College such as:

  • Promotion of student involvement in Macleod College community activities:

  • Music Programs

  • Athletics and Swimming Carnivals

  • Sport

  • Fundraising Activities

  • Camps

  • Curriculum Programs

  • Homework Club

  • Excursions

  • SRC Programs
