Buddy Program

If your child is in the four-year-old program you may have heard from them about the "Buddies" visit. As a benefit of being on a school site each 4 year old kindergarten class has connected with a year 4 class from the school. The older children act as a mentor for the younger children and the benefits of the program go both ways. For our kinder children one of the main benefits is promoting positive relationship with older children which helps them to feel a sense of security and have a supportive relationship They learn from the buddies as they play, and share stories and conversation. Both kinder and school children very much look forward to the buddy program and we often get asked "are the buddies coming today?".
