Sport Update
GSV Swimming/Diving
On Monday 6 March, the Shelford Swim and Dive Team participated in the GSV Swimming and Diving Preliminary Carnival C. The students have been training twice a week at Caulfield Grammar pool from 7.00 - 8.00am since the beginning of the term. Many of the students have also competed in after school GSV Swim and Dive Meets. All of the students should be extremely proud of their enthusiasm and dedication to their training. Many of the students attained personal best performances and displayed great commitment to the team. We are now looking ahead to the Championship Carnival on Tuesday 21 March. Congratulations to the following students who placed in their dive events:
Junior B: Chloe B 3rd, Junior D: Ashley C 3rd, Junior F: Ruby B 2nd and Senior A: Alex T 3rd.

GSV Triathlon
On Sunday 26 February our GSV triathlon team competed in the GSV triathlon at Altona Beach. The students and parents involved braved the very early morning to compete and support our students. We had some great team results, with our highest ranked junior team of Amaya P and Ruby B finishing 23rd overall, while our highest ranked intermediate team of Amelie S, Charlotte J and Steph D finished 45th overall. We also had 2 students completing the Triathlon on their own, with Francesca W finishing 27th in her first Triathlon and Sienna S finishing 12th. Well done to all students involved and thank you to the parents for their support in the morning.
SYDSA Swimming
Our Junior School Swim team competed at the SYDSA swim carnival on Tuesday 21 February, we had some significant improvement from last year. Overall Shelford finished 4th for combined points, while we also placed 2nd in the school population trophy. We had some great individual results, most notably Abbey M (Year 6) who finished 2nd in the 50m Butterfly and Backstroke events. With these results, Abbey has been invited to compete at the Beachside division swimming carnival on Friday 10 March. Well done to all of the Junior School swim team for their efforts at training. We look forward to seeing you all involved again next year.
