Harmony Week

It was wonderful to see splashes of Orange throughout our School Community to celebrate Harmony Week.

Year Prep Community

The Year Prep children discussed all the wonderful things that make their families special. We discussed all the wonderful languages they speak at home including Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and Mandarin.  We used their hands to create a gorgeous Harmony Tree that brings all their hands together as one to symbolise that although we are different our leaves come together and grow on a beautiful tree!

Year 1/2 Community

The Year 1/2 students created a beautiful display of their children holding hands. The wonderfully decorated paper people are all holding hands with adjoining hearts symbolising that 'Everybody Belongs' to celebrate that although we all have different backgrounds, we all belong here together at Corpus Christi.

Year 5/6 Community

The Year 5/6 Community also created paper people to represent themselves. They were fabulously decorated with the colours that represent their cultural background. It was also great to see some children draw traditional outfits to represent their culture.

It was wonderful to celebrate Harmony Week in the Corpus Christi Community!

Child Safety at Home

Australian Catholic University has developed a great resource to educate families on Implementing Child Safe Principles at home.

This guide can help you keep your child safe. It outlines skills that can support your child's wellbeing, decision making, online safety and adaptability. The skills are based on child safe principles that you can apply at home to ensure your child feels safe in their home environment.
