Footsteps Dance Presentation
Last Friday our children showcased their dance moves for all to see! It was a wonderful way to conclude our Dance Program and a nice way to end a busy, busy week!
Easter Raffle
Thank you to all families who have already handed in their raffle ticket money.
Our Easter raffle will be drawn on Thursday 6th April at around 12:30 pm in the Gathering Space.
Raffle money needs to be returned to the office by Wednesday 5th April.
Easter Egg Donation
Don't forget to bring in your donation of Easter Eggs this Monday 3rd April.
We ask that each family send in an Easter Egg/Bunny so that we can package them into prizes for the raffle. Easter egg donations are to be placed on the tables in the Community Hall upon arrival at school before assembly.
We are also looking for donations of cane baskets (or the like) to package our Easter egg prizes. These can be donated at any time and handed in at the school office.
Easter Egg Wrapping Morning
We will be holding an Easter egg wrapping morning (to wrap all our raffle prizes) on Monday 3rd April straight after assembly. If you are able to help, please make your way up to the hall after assembly. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Baby Preparation
Mrs Chantel Simon has brought forward her maternity leave as she prepares for the birth of her new baby and will finish up at the end of this term. It will be an exciting time for Chantel and her husband and we wish them well in the lead-up. We can't wait to welcome little Master/Miss Simon into the world.
Disabled Parking
Could I request that our Disabled Parking bays are kept free for those who have accessible parking permits ONLY. It seems an obvious request but we still have people who seem to ignore all parking restrictions within the front car park. School staff shouldn't be put in a position where they have to ask people to move. Please show some respect.
Learning Conferences
Years 1-6 Learning Conferences are scheduled for next Wednesday commencing at 2:00 pm and as such, children will finish at 1:00 pm.

School Photos
School photos will be taken on Thursday 27th April in the first week back of Term 2.
ORDERS CAN ONLY BE MADE ONLINE.
Please do not return the order form to the school. Cash orders will not be accepted.
To order, simply go to www.schoolpix.com.au. enter your personal Order and ID Numbers (found on your order form) and follow the prompts.
Photos will be sent to the school for us to distribute. Orders placed prior to 3rd May will be postage free.
Sibling photos will also be offered. Details as to how to order can be found on your Order Form.
On photo day, children are to wear the correct Summer Uniform. The Summer Uniform is:
Boys: Blue short sleeve shirt, grey shorts, grey socks, black shoes
Girls: Summer dress, white socks, black shoes (stockings/tights are not to be worn)
Jumpers may be worn throughout the day but will be removed for the photos. The Student Leaders, Sports Leaders and Social Justice Leaders need to wear their badges for photos.
As per our policy, long hair is to be tied back using blue/black or white hair accessories!
Photos commence at 9:00 am sharp so please have children at school on time and presented neatly.
We understand that on this day some classes have PE. Children can bring a pair of runners to change into later if they choose.
Uniforms
Next term children will begin to transition into their winter uniform. Could we please ask that families who need to purchase items complete an order form (available from the front office) to be collected later in the day.
Alternatively, place an order via email to dyarak@cckingsville.catholic.edu.au and we will call you when it's ready to collect. Unfortunately, the office is getting too congested in the mornings and afternoons for orders to be processed on the spot.
Children do not need to wear their school hat during Term 2.
Circus Visit
Roll up, roll up!
On Thursday we welcomed the Kindergarten children from Kingsville Early Learning to join the Year Preps in a 'Circus' themed incursion run by The Drama Tool Box.
It was great to see children step out of their comfort zones and use their imagination to engage in dress-up play. They had an absolute blast dressing up as Circus Elephants, Lions, Tigers, Ponies, Clowns and Tightrope Walkers!
We were so proud of our wonderful Year Prep students who were great role models for the kindergarten children.
We look forward to continuing to develop relationships with our local Kindergarten.
Staffing
If you subscribe to The Age you would have read that there are almost 1,000 teaching jobs currently advertised and in need of filling in Victoria alone.
This has also led to CRT shortages meaning dozens of timetable changes weekly for students and staff to negotiate.
As we limp towards the end of term we thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we (along with every other school) navigate our way through such a severe teacher shortage. We hope to have our staffing adjustments finalized by the commencement of Term 2.
Leave
I will be on a period of leave next week and as such this will be the last Newsletter for the term. I wish everyone a safe and happy Easter and look forward to seeing everyone fully charged next term!
Don't forget our last day of term is next Thursday 6th April and the children finish at 1:00 pm.
God bless
Anthony Hyde
