Future Focused Learning Curriculum Day 

On Friday 10th March Mackellar had the pleasure of having Kathleen Baker Brown join us for our curriculum day. Kathleen works with Lee Crockett from Future Focused Learning to build teacher capacity about student led inquiries. Providing agency in student learning is something we have been increasing over time and this day certainly assisted with that. 

During the day teachers learnt about the inquiry process, solution fluency and the importance of this process in student learning.  From next term all grades will be using the 6Ds of Solution Fluency to find student led solutions to essential questions.  Stay tuned and don't be surprised if we need your help throughout the inquiry as we work to include more and more parents and community members in our inquiry learning.
