Anzac Day Commemorative Service

Dear Mackellar Primary School Families, 

Please join us for a whole school ANZAC Day commemoration where we will come together to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of generations of Australians, and those who suffer the consequences of war.  

We look forward to your presence at this very important day of significance.  Students are preparing wreaths and making poppies for our garden.  

Date:  Monday 24th April (first day back after the holidays)

Time:  9.10am

Location:  Basketball courts

Anzac Day pins and pens are currently available at the school's reception.

Harmony Day

What a magnificent splash of orange across our school last week as we celebrated the incredible diversity that makes up our community.  

Students and staff wore traditional costume or dress to represent the heritage and cultures of their families, or the colour orange.  Many students brought their favourite cultural lunch to school.  Here are some photographs from our wonderful whole school display.

Kaboom

Thank you to families for also attending our recent Kaboom event which was a huge success.  It was wonderful to see students in their House colours.  We are extremely proud of the way our students socialised and helped each other as they persevered with various new and challenging activities.   Here are a few happy memories captured  from the day.
