Principal's News

Our theme for this year is

STEP UP! BE MORE!

We warmly welcome Fr Charles Balnaves as our new Parish Priest. Fr Charles commenced his role as Parish Priest of St Kevin's and St Gregory's in Doncaster on the 8th of September. He will be living at St Gregory's and working closely with our Lay Leader, Gerard Lewis and the parish team. Once we are back at school we will organise a time with Fr Charles to come and meet the children and families and welcome him in a more formal and personal way.

Well there is only one more week of home learning before we get a 2 week break. Let's all hope and pray that we are back to school for term 4. Sadly we have no confirmation of that as yet, so please check your emails and the school app over the holidays and I will let you know what is happening as soon as I find out. I hope you all enjoy some rest over the next two weeks and a reprieve from the hectic schedule of trying to work from home and home school your children at the same time. We truly appreciate the wonderful support you have given your children during this very long period of home learning.

Fulvia shared the following "Message to Parents" with me and I thought it was lovely, so have shared it with you.

Book Week Fun!

The juniors celebrated book week with an online dress up day and the reading of many of the prize winning  books during their literacy lessons last week. Here is a photo of Tiago dressed up as the Ghost Busters!

Family Fun!

Bianca, our Wellbeing Leader, has been putting together some fun challenges for the children, to help lift their spirits and keep them engaged and connected. This week's challenge is fun for all the family. The challenge is the bottle flip challenge. Here's the link:

Have fun checking out some of the attempts on flipgrid. Feel free to add your funny videos to the list.

Good luck!

Staff News:

In Term 4 Mr Puls will be working full time at St Simon's in Rowville and Mr Mullavey will be teaching PE while he is away. We look forward to Mr Puls' return in 2022.

Calendar changes:

All of our calendar dates for term 3 are on hold at the moment. We will do our very best to reschedule events we have missed. We will definitely make a time to get the year 3/4 billy cart event happening once the children are back at school. We will also get our sleepover in at some stage in the year! Stay posted for updates about the rescheduling of events (including our Bakers Delight Lunch), once we have some greater clarity about when we will be back onsite.

If you are not feeling that great or feel you would like some help or support, the parish staff have put together the following directory:
