House Swimming Sports

Important Information for the House Swimming Carnival

The 2023 Trinity College House Swimming Sports will take place on Friday, February 17 at the Camperdown swimming pool.

As a calendared school day, all students are required to attend the Swimming Sports. We encourage students and staff to participate in this wonderful day of celebration by dressing up in House colours and joining in various fun activities to accumulate House points for the Spirit Cup. 

Please note the following for the House Swimming Sports:

The list of swimmers will go up on Monday in the canteen and there will be House meetings on Tuesday the 14th during iLeap. 

MacKillop will be meeting on the Netball courts, Glowrey will be meeting on the four square courts, McAuley will be meeting in the Senior Quad, and Rice will be meeting on oval.

If you are not on the list to swim, but you would like to fill in on the day please speak to your House Captains in Tuesday's meeting. And remember that we will be doing swim throughs throughout the day, so everyone will be given the opportunity to get into the water and earn points for their House.

Dressing up 

It would be great to see everyone dressed up and supporting their House. If you do not want to dress up then you need to wear your sports uniform on the day. 

Just a reminder about what is not allowed at the swimming carnival. NO paint, zinc, crepe paper, or anything that stains water. Also, no water pistols.

On the day

House Sports are all about participation, so its really important that you support your House and your House Captains. It doesn’t matter if you are not the best swimmer, it's all about having a go and being a team player.

Please be aware that the Freestyle races are heats. What this means is that the FASTEST swimmer out of ALL 3 HEATS for your age group will go through to the Coastal Swimming Carnival. So, you can be in heat 3 and still go through!

Food For Swimming Sports

There will be a BBQ available on the day to purchase sausages or hamburgers, there will also be Zooper Doopers for sale. If you do not want to buy lunch make sure you bring your own food, snacks and drinks. If the canteen is open you can purchase some drinks and snacks.
