Canteen Volunteers in 2023

The canteen relies heavily on volunteers to operate and in 2023 we really need your support in order to fill the roster for the year.

Thank you to those parents and carers who have already registered their interest. Rosters will be distributed by the 24th of February.

It would be appreciated if any other volunteers able to assist complete the following survey link Canteen Volunteer Form to enable roster completion.

We are looking forward to having many new volunteers this year!

Acting Canteen Manager

Update to COVID-19

COVIDSafe measures have changed however, schools must continue implementing important practices to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Good personal hygiene is encouraged and face masks are made available for students at school reception.

  • It is recommended that rapid antigen tests (RATs) are used by students and staff if they:
    • have symptoms of COVID-19 infection, no matter how mild
    • are a household or close contact of someone who has COVID-19
    • are a social contact of someone who has COVID-19.
  • The Department of Health recommends that all Victorians report their positive RAT result via the online form or by calling 1800 675 398.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19, you should isolate for at least 5 days or as long as you have symptoms.
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms and you return a negative rapid antigen test you should stay home until your symptoms go away and repeat rapid antigen testing over the next several days.

Additional Information

  • RATs are available for all Victorians from council sites. Individuals can obtain two free packs (10 tests) for themselves and two free packs (10 tests) for each household member. People with disability and their carers can get up to four free packs (20 tests) in line with existing RAT distribution for people with disability.

Check with your local council on details for where RATs can be collected in your local area.

Teething Problems After Changes to Platform

As per our correspondence last year, the provider of our learning management system (SIMON) updated the login requirements for parents and carers to access the Parent Access Module (PAM) and rolled out some other changes to the SIMON platform at the beginning of the school year which has impacted a number of schools around the country.

The login credentials for PAM that were used prior to January 2023 will no longer work.  Unfortunately, there were some glitches with our provider’s roll out and some parents/carers may not have received an email with a link to set up a new password.

If you have not been able to login to PAM since the beginning of the school year, please reach out to Nikki Williams or Amber Sell on 03 5233 9255 or via email at registrar@tcc.vic.edu.au who can assist in setting you up.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst these updates were rolled out and thank you for your patience as we’ve logged helpdesk calls to resolve login and correspondence issues some of our families have experienced.

Food Bank Help Required

Each year we have families in need of some form of assistance and often a prepared meal can make a difference at that time.

We operate a Food Bank here at the College and call on families to assist as the need arises.

Any families who would be happy to assist with Food Bank for 2023 can email cgrist@tcc.vic.edu.au and be placed on the list for occasional contact.

Your support would be greatly appreciated and make a difference when families require help.
