Holt Tennis Friday 10th February

On Friday 10th of February the Holt District Tennis Tournament was held. Students from St Josephs Black and St Marys E St Kilda came to St James to compete in a round robin. 

There were some great points rallied and some tough matches. St James was very lucky to have the top two girls Katie Z and Ava N and the top boy Kristian V progress through to the next round of Beachside on the 9th and 16th March. 

Amazing job to Ava N, Katie Z, Jackson C and Kristian V who represented St James. 

Holt Swimming Carnival Tuesday 21st February

On Tuesday, 25 students from St James competed at the Holt District Swimming Championships in Oakleigh. Well done to everyone who competed.  St James won the overall point score for the 8th year in a row!

Special mention goes to: Aurelia W who not only was the fastest swimmer in the district for two events but she also broke two records for the 12/13 year old girls in Freestyle and Butterfly. 

Thank-you to all the students who swam for the first time and for some their last time. It was a great day, the support, courage and bravery shown by all of our swimmers was fantastic. 

A very big thank-you to my parent helpers, Susan D, Sally B, Claire S and Joanne P as well as all of the other parents who came to support on the day. 

Thank-you also to Mr Niarros for getting the team there and back safely!
