Pancake Tuesday

This week we celebrated Pancake Tuesday at St James. A very big thank-you to the Parent Reps in Year 1 Steph G, Jane S and Mel F. Our students are very lucky to have the opportunity to share these important events together. 

Meet the Teacher

Meet the Teacher was held on Thursday 9th February. It was fabulous to see and hear the buzz of meaningful conversation being held between teachers and parents. These conversations are invaluable for our staff to better understand our students and how to support them throughout the coming year. Thank-you to those we were able to attend. 

Specialist Classes

All specialist classes are now underway. This year our specialist classes take place over 4 days. Tuesday-Friday. PE is every Tuesday, Italian is Tuesday or Wednesday, Performing Arts once fortnightly on a Wednesday and Visual Arts every Thursday or Friday. Students will also be taking part in fortnightly library lessons with Mrs Joplin during 2023. 

Foundation Colour Houses

Last week a very vigilant parent of St James enquired about the names of our colour houses so I thought it would be good to share the information with everyone. 

St James has four colour houses which all children in the school belong to. The houses are named after significant people from St James history.
