Year 10 Work Experience

Congratulations to all our Year 10 students who admirably represented Frankston High School in the workforce.  Some students chose to look to their future investigating careers in Vet Science, the Defence Force, Physiotherapy and Health, while others chose pathways to part-time work like Coles, Boost Juice and Magic Hand Car Wash, in which many were very successful.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hard-working staff members who made work experience week the great success that it was. Thank you to the Year 10 teachers, Mr George Jolly, Ms Leanne Wood, Mrs Stav Smaragdiou, Ms Lee-anne Waters and Mrs Michelle Snooks for all their experience, wisdom and help, and lastly, to Mr John Albiston for signing over 400 arrangement forms.

Both girls were successful in obtaining part-time work.

“My work experience was in a retail environment – Toys R Us, Frankston. I was trained in all areas of the store, focusing mainly on shop duties and customer Service."

“My work experience was at Australian Animal Genetics.  We dealt with the transfer of embryos (specifically equine and bovine), though I was also able to go out to one of our client’s farms and take part in the flushing of fertilized embryos from the cattle, alongside many other activities (I even performed an epidural on a cow!)"
