Wentworth Falls Welcome Picnic
It was wonderful to see so many parents come along to our Welcome Picnic and uniform swap, held at the Wentworth Falls Junior school last Thursday. The glorious weather allowed for families to gather on the oval and catch up, meet new people, play some games, enjoy afternoon tea and to grab a bargain at the uniform swap.
A big thank you is extended to Mrs Newton and the Junior school staff for their attendance; it was lovely to have them join us and be so generous with their time after school. We also thank Mrs Olmos in the Uniform Shop for her support and generous donations, as well as the maintenance staff who helped with set up and preparation of the grounds, it was much appreciated.
Springwood Picnic on the Lawn and Springwood Uniform swap
On Friday, 10th March the Springwood Junior School are looking forward to holding their annual Picnic on the Lawn starting at 6:00pm. It will a great opportunity for families to come together, whether new or existing, to catch up and enjoy an alfresco evening picnic.
Springwood Uniform Swap
A uniform swap will be held at the Springwood Junior school campus on Tuesday, 28th March from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Come along and browse the extensive range of reasonably priced, second hand uniform items. There are some great bargains to be had!
Ongoing Uniform Swap
Given the fantastic response to the uniform swap (held at WWF last week and upcoming at Springwood in March), there is going to be a uniform swap on the Thursday of the first week of each term. We hope this will serve as a helpful way for families to get some affordable spare uniform pieces for their children each Term, but also to allow for good uniform items to have a second life instead of ending up in land fill. We will also be offering a cuppa and treats to accompany the deal. Details for donations will be released closer to the date.
Upcoming Mother’s Day stall
We have started planning for our Junior School (Springwood and WWF) Mother’s Day stalls. We are looking for local businesses, makers and suppliers, who may be able to work with us to supply well priced small gift and food items in bulk. If you are able to assist, (or have any ideas), please email us at wentfallspf@gmail.com ideally by Mid March.
