My husband and I are renovators and I have a background in interior design also - it's an area that I am passionate about. This year I plan to take up pottery or painting as I always need a creative project on the go! My family love AFL and NBA and I follow the Melbourne Demons and LA Lakers. The highlight of my weekends is watching my 3 kids play netball, basketball and footy. However, my perfect day would be to lie on a beach with a great book, my dog on my lap with my family and friends around me.

ANNIE RAJULU (SECONDARY TEACHER)

What is your new role at BHCS and what are you excited about this year? I am extremely excited for my first year at BHCS and I am looking forward to stepping into the role of a VCE Biology teacher. Along with teaching senior school, I will also be working with the middle school science team, and teaching general science classes for Years 7 through to 9. I have also been blessed with the privilege of looking after Year 11 homeroom. I am keen to implement the school’s vision and ethos, which is to help students to know Christ, inspire the learners and transform lives. I wish to work closely with the teachers and school community to fulfil the vision of the school and put our school moto into a daily practice. This year especially, I am excited to learn more about the teaching platforms and methods, which will allow me to be a more proficient and effective educator to deliver the best student outcomes.

What did you do previously? In my previous school, I had the opportunity to teach general Science from Year 7 upwards and also had the blessed privilege of teaching VCE Biology for 8 years. I was able to construct my own teaching plan and curriculum for my students. Over the years, I have engaged students with teaching aids such as experiments and external excursions which have helped ground their knowledge and exercise their cognitive skills.

What do you like to do for fun? I like travelling, visit and explore new destinations and cooking.

What did you do previously?

Previously, I was working as a Learning Assistant at a Primary School in Frankston North and then was blessed with the opportunity to teach an energetic Year 5/6 class for the last semester.
