Year 10 Work Experience

Throughout the last week, our Year 10 students have been undertaking work experience. Our students have embarked on huge variety of work experiences including child care, a variety of trades, factory work, education, public service, retail, administration and many others. The feedback coming back from employers has been overwhelming positive which is a true credit to all of our students. Well done!

Work Experience - Kindergarten
"I've never been so exhausted in my life, but I wouldn't switch places for anything. I'm working with kids aged 1-2, and we have a set Focus for each day - a particular sense, an area of the room, an animal etc. I've received more cuddles than ever before in my life, and it's clear as to why people want to work with children permanently. It's opened my eyes to how draining it is to work with tiny people - though incredibly rewarding."

Work Experience - Camera Store
"I am doing work experience at a retail store and so far it has been really fun! The co-workers are all super nice and inclusive. I’m also picking things up easy. It’s definitely something I’d like to look into more for the future. I definitely didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I do."

Darcy Cook - Primary School
"Organising school work for kids and helping out on yard duty by picking a plane out of a tree." (see photos below)

As a bonus, here is actual footage of the Year 10 students heading home after a long day at work...
