Dear Parents,

Parent Teacher Interviews will be conducted on Tuesday 21st of June and Thursday 23rd of June 2022, between the times of 3.30pm-6.30 pm. All parents are encouraged to participate together with your child/ren in parent-teacher meetings to discuss your child's progress. Bookings for Parent / Teacher Interviews can be made through our student portal COMPASS. To access COMPASS log onto:

If you should require this information or need help to book an interview time, please see our office staff for assistance. In our endeavour to ensure sustainability of our environment and reduce paper usage, we will only be printing hard copies of students’ reports on request. Families will be able to access students’ reports online via Compass from Friday 17th of June. Whilst the reporting process and parent-teacher interviews provide a formal opportunity for parents to meet with their child’s teacher, please note that we have an open door policy at Albanvale Primary School, whereby parents are welcome to make a time to see teachers at any point throughout the year.

Curriculum Day - Friday 10th June is our next School Council approved Curriculum Day. Curriculum days provide an opportunity for staff to engage in professional learning. Professional learning enables staff to develop the skills and knowledge they need to improve their practice and is central to improving student learning. Students are not required at school on this day.

To best prepare our students for the 21st century, it is important that we support them to use digital technologies creatively and collaboratively, maximising the potential and possibilities of these tools. It is imperative that our students have the relevant skills and knowledge required to be ethically responsible Digital Citizens. This is best achieved by teachers and families working together to ensure our students develop into Cyber Smart Citizens. Access to digital technologies and the internet is not limited to the school setting. It is important for parents and students to understand that in the Home Zone, parents / guardians are responsible for use and access to digital technologies and digital internet experiences. It is vital that we embed a culture of cyber safety and digital responsibility from an early age to ensure students are able to safely and responsibly use technologies now and into the future.
