P&F COCKTAIL PARTY A HUGE SUCCESS!
The weather was perfect, the music was on point and the food was fabulous! Sure, we broke a record with a beer run only 40 mins into the night, but the drinks were flowing, old and new friends met and the Year 12 Mums left their mark! With approx. 300 people in the school grounds, it was great to see our wonderful SPX community back together. It’s making us very excited for our Trivia Night on 14 August! Make sure that date is in your diary!
A huge success like the Cocktail Party takes a huge amount of effort from the whole community. So thank you to everyone who helped out – from our parent helpers on the night meeting and greeting, to those who worked the bar, those who served food and those who helped set up and clean up. We see you all and we thank you so much for being part of making these nights special, especially our amazing P&F Cocktail Party organisers, led by Braelen Zwart, Louise Johnson and Julie Charlton who put the whole night together.
A big thank you to Mr Couani who not only helps all night but was even in the garden helping set up with lights and clean up (see photos for evidence!). Thank you also to Ann Brady who helps us co-ordinate behind the scenes – from logistics to invitations to random (and probably exhausting) number of questions! Always with a smile!
Huge shout out to Andy and Stuart in the Maintenance team. Without them, there would be a very tragic looking cocktail party. Andy worked a huge day on Friday and we really appreciate everything he and Stuart do to help us out.
And lets not forget Stephen Cummins – who made the music happen! From carefully placed electrical wires to microphone technician and playlist supervisor – thanks Mr Cummins!!
And the most exciting part! Cathy Thomson and the wonderful ClubHub, through masses of hard work, raised over $12,500 for your boys on the night with sales of raffle tickets and supporter gear! All that wonderful profit goes straight to your boys' clubs – thank you to all the clubs for making this happen! And congratulations to our winners (see photos for happy smiling faces). Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets - better luck next time!
