MOTHER'S DAY STALL

Tomorrow, we will again have a stall selling items for children to purchase for Mother’s Day. The prices range from $1.00 to $10.00. An updated flyer displaying these items will be sent home with the children today.

The children always enjoy making their own purchases. However, you may like to make it easier for them by selecting what they would like and include a note and appropriate money in an envelope which they can bring with them.

The stall will be held in the mornings before school and 2nd half of morning tea on Wednesday and Thursday.

NEW ENGLAND SINGS CHOIR

New England Sings! CHOIR

This October the Choral event, New England Sings! is coming back to our regional schools after being cancelled last year! This is great news for students who would like to be part of a choir for this exciting event! It will  be held over the weekend of October 17th and 18th at Lazenby Hall, Armidale. The Saturday is a Final Rehearsal and the children will travel by bus to Armidale from the school. The Sunday will be the actual concert, which will go for approximately 2 hours. Children will need to organise their own transport on that day.

The students will learn a wide variety of songs that will include an original written by Playschool Presenter, Justine Clark, who the students will also meet throughout the preparation. She will also be conducting for the actual concert.

Our school will also be hosting a Choir workshop  later in the year, that will be led by the New England Conservatorium and one of their local Choirs as part of our preparation.

It is a very memorable event for everyone involved and I am asking as many students as possible to be involved. Please let me know and return the note to school by 23rd May or before if you are able.

At this stage the Choir will be for Years 3-6, however there may be opportunities for some Year Two students to be involved, depending on numbers.

Please contact me at school if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Shanny Core
