Primary News

Room 7

Room 7 has had a fantastic start to Term 2!  We are enjoying learning together in the classroom and have had lots of fun exploring the different seasons as part of our science unit. We especially enjoy exploring different parts of the school such as the Stephanie Alexander Garden where we got to make our very own scarecrow and the library where we get to read all the fabulous books.

Primary Sub School News

Week 4 is a busy time in the primary Sub School.

The Cultural Calendar!

A big thank you to Student Leaders who delivered the Cultural Calendars to primary classrooms this week. The calendar will help us plan for upcoming school community events such as the Swimming Program (Fridays 14/5, 21/5, 28/5 & 4/6/2021), Eid-Celebrations (13-14/5/2021), Education Week (24-28/5/2021), Photo Day (28/5/2021), World Oceans Day (8/6/2021) and more!

Term 2 Student Support Group Meetings (SSGs)

Teachers are looking forward to meeting with parents over the next few weeks to talk about student progress so far this year. Students are encouraged to come along to SSGs and to showcase their achievements and share their opinions and ideas regarding their own learning.

Parent Volunteers!

Thank you to the parents who came along to the Volunteer Information Session last week. Volunteering is a great way to get involved and take an interest in your child’s education. Here are some of the ways a parent volunteer can help:

  • Fundraising
  • Excursions
  • Classroom Help
  • Swimming Program
  • Library
  • Reading Program.

Community Participation - Volunteering

School Council and the Leadership Team have planned for a Community Participation session on Wednesday 9th June between 9.15am and 10.15am.  If you want to know how you can volunteer and get involved, come along for morning tea and meet other parents and carers and learn how you can get involved.

Remember, volunteering not only benefits your child, it helps the classroom, the whole school, and the community by giving students positive interactions, support, and encouragement. To be a volunteer you are required to have a Working with Children’s Card (WWCC). If you would like to find out more, please contact Libby on 0467 728 947.
