Iron Chef
This week the iron chef students created a delicious meal of lamb kebabs and a mint and yoghurt based dipping sauce. Student’s worked in pairs to grate, dice and fry their ingredients into a dish worth sharing! The leftovers were happily devoured by the Stephanie Alexander chickens.
Year 7 Food Tech
This week Students worked in pairs to create Bread and Butter pudding. Many student’s had never made or tasted this dish and were a little hesitant to try it. After a little encouragement, many reported liking the flavour, especially with a good helping of vanilla ice cream on top!
Walk Safely To School Day
We encourage the PCC Community to get their kids involved in this initiative. Below is the purpose of the day and we hope that you can share this information with your family. Also attached via this link is a 'Walk Your Kids Safely to School' - Colouring In Picture Here
The overarching purpose is to encourage parents and carers to walk to school with primary school age children and reinforce safe pedestrian behaviour, as well as the health benefits regular walking can have. Other points include;
- To ensure that children up to 10 years old hold an adult's hand when crossing the road.
- To help children develop the vital road-crossing skills they will need as they become mature pedestrians.
- To reduce the car dependency habits that are being created at an early age and which will be difficult to change as children become adults.
- To promote the use of Public Transport.
- To reduce the level of air pollution created by motor vehicles.
- To reduce the level of traffic congestion.
