Greetings White Gum Valley Primary School Community,

I hope you are all well? During term four in November, I was given the opportunity to plant and decorate the volunteer thank you gifts. Myself and a few different students from the school assisted me during the day with creating these thank you gifts. The students loved helping out, being surrounded by nature, and do some gardening. It was also a fun way for them to be able to say thank you to all the volunteers at this school. So on behalf of White Gum Valley Primary School, I would like to say thank you to all the amazing volunteers. We acknowledge the volunteers for their help during this year, and all the various different ways that they supported the school.

Below are some photos of the students who helped me in planting, and wrapping the pot plants. I also had some assistance by a student called Harry, who helped me deliver all the gifts to each classroom for the teachers to handout later in the day. Thank you to the many other students who helped me wrap or plant the pot plants; I could not have done it without my awesome team.

Since we are drawing to the end of the school term I would like to wish you all a happy holiday. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I look forward to seeing everyone again in the new year, and hearing about all the adventures that were had during the holidays. I have also attached below some ideas on what to do over the Christmas holidays to entertain your little ones.

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

This term we challenge you to crunch the rainbow for Crunch&Sip® by making a rainbow in your classroom. Eating different coloured fruits and vegetables provides lots of different vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Which is why crunching on a rainbow will help kids get the right balance of nutrients they need for a healthy body.
