There was much excitement in our STEM Innovation Lab this week as classes attended their very first STEM lesson at OHR.

Students were introduced to their first Makerspace Challenge – to survive ‘Survivor’! Over the next few weeks students will be using the Engineering Design Process and limited resources to help them design and build the following:

PREPS will be creating a structure to help them cross a body of water in their first lesson next week.

YEAR 1 and 2 students are building a fishing pole to catch fish.

YEAR 3 and 4 students are designing and making a structure to protect their food from the weather and animals.

YEAR 5 and 6 students are creating a device for filtering dirty water to make it safe to drink.
