Wet and Wild!

BSC SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Jarrod Warmington

Sport Coordinator

Every year, the Swimming Carnival just gets bigger and better!  This year saw the highest numbers of student participation across the competition and social activities and this really made the Carnival a stand-out event.

All the students took advantage of the Coburg Aquatic venue, given the extraordinarily warm day. It was great to see them all being SunSmart - slapping on hats, seeking some shade and slopping on the sunscreen.

The usual competitions in the pool were keenly contested, while those who chose not to compete in races could splash down, keep cool and/or participate in the other activities on hand. Volleyball, totem tennis and basketball games proved to be a hit, as was the diving pool!

Special thanks to the VCE - Vocational Major class who made sure the barbecue was sizzling and food was on hand.  These student did a stellar job - setting up, feeding us all and then packing up at the end of the event,  alongs with the cheerful assistance of Ray Stivala & Dave O'Callaghan, our Facilities team. Thank you to everyone who showed up to have a good time - it made for a great vibe and it felt good to be out in the sunshine, enjoying social time together!

Congratulations to winners, Abyad, on an exemplary start to 2023 House Competition.

The Abyad House competitors were determined to lead from the start and have a decisive win on the day.  House Captains rang the Brunswick Bell with glee!

Abyad has thrown down the gauntlet ...

so let's see what happens at the Athletics  Carnival!
