Student Attendance Matters
Hamlyn Views School recognises that being at school on time and attending every day contributes towards a student's learning growth, and that maximising school attendance enhances learning outcomes.
We take attendance very seriously and aim to support all students to attend school as close to 100% as possible.
Where a student is absent parents/carers must provide a reason for them not attending school. Parents will be contacted where an explanation for the absence has not been provided.
When families plan a holiday during a school term, and students will be away for more than a couple days, then teachers should be informed so an ‘Absence Learning Plan’ can be developed for the time students are away.
