It's Another Construction Site!

During the last few weeks of term construction has started on the new Senior Secondary Centre on the site of the old gym which was demolished nearly a year ago. 

Actually, it's more like getting the band back together after a break - same architects, same project managers, same building contractor as we used for the Community Hub - and we look forward again to solid, professional relationships amongst the team.

The brief we gave to Brand Architects was to create spaces where teachers and students can engage with learning in innovative and flexible ways that foster strong learning, community connection, and help students to think critically and engage with the world from a deep spiritual understanding.

Committed to the concept of the stewardship of creation, the building has been designed to a 6-star Green Star standard.  It will encompass senior classrooms including science and food studies labs, a resource (library) centre and Secondary administration.

The project is programmed to be completed for the start of the 2024 school year.
