Year 5

Government Unit 

This term the Year 5 students have been studying the key values and developed a better understanding of Australia’s democratic system of government. Students learnt about the three levels of government and its roles and responsibilities through the Triarama Activity they made at school. There were lots of hands-on activities in this unit where students formed their very own political parties and campaigned for the key issues. Last week, the Year 5 students had the opportunity to cast their preferential vote for a political leader.
