Teaching and Learning in 2J

This term 2J went to swimming lessons. Each student practised breathing, swimming strokes, diving and what to do in an emergency.

In Term 3 Year 2 created dioramas and models to show lifecycles.

Each student presented their models at a whole grade expo and answered questions asked by other students.

We had a visit from a tiny dog named Bunnings.

In Mathematics this term we are looking at problem solving and how we can solve worded problems using multiplicative thinking.

In Writing we are exploring new text types and looking at how we can use persuasive texts to sway someone towards our own opinions. This has created some healthy debates in class including that age-old question should pineapple be on a pizza?

As the term goes on, we are looking forward to completing some science experiments and having community helpers pop in a talk to us about their important jobs.
