Adderly-Allen Awards Evening
It was nice to hold the Adderly Allen awards for the first time since 2019.
The Adderly Allen Awards Evening was established in 2014 after the generous contribution from the Adderly and Allen families to Langwarrin Primary School.

New Staff
I would like to welcome Lyndal Gunn and Brad Sheehy to the teaching team for 2023. Both teachers come with a wealth of knowledge and experience and we look forward to them contributing to Langwarrin PS in 2023 and beyond.
I have mentioned previously that Paige Dwyer and Lisa Gadsden will also be teaching at Langwarrin PS in 2023.
Goodbye and Good Luck
Kathryn Matthews will be leaving LPS and working further down the peninsula. Mrs Matthews has made a great contribution over the past 7 years she has been at Langwarrin PS and the staff and students will surely miss her.
Emily Mogyorossy will also be leaving us at the end of the year. Emily will continue her career in Bendigo teaching at the same school as Mr Ben Suter (for those who remember Ben). Emily has been incredibly passionate about the children she has taught and will be missed by all.
Tallulah Peacock will be taking leave for the entire 2023 year. Ms Peacock has been a wonderful asset (along with Mrs Darwall) teaching Visual Arts this year. Again, she will be missed but we are hoping to see her back in 2024!
Rose (our wonderful Chaplain) is also leaving us. Rose has supported many children and their families over the past 4 years. We have been so grateful to have her and wish her well with her next adventure! Baden Harvey will join us to take on the Chaplain role and will spend some time getting to know our students whilst Rose is still here for a handover.
School Council
Don’t forget our final school council meeting of 2022 is on Tuesday 6th December beginning at 6pm in the staff room.
Christmas Concert
Wednesday 7th December beginning at 5.30pm. I have bought a very special shirt for this event (albeit 3 sizes too big). All students are practising hard on their number, and we look forward to having families back for this event!
Final Assembly
Friday 16th December. This is the final assembly of the year. Normally we would have it on the “last” day however I think having it on the Friday is a nicer way to say goodbye to our Year 6 students and to departing staff/students. Parents are welcome. The assembly will begin at about 3.15pm.
Last Day for Students
Monday 19th December - This is the final day for students. We will be finishing at 2.30pm on this day.
The Last Day
Tuesday 20th December - This is a student free day. Teachers will be busy getting ready for 2023.
Team Kids are available on this day should you wish to book your child/children in!
Have a great fortnight
