Guitar/bass/ukulele/voice/piano/recorder lessons with Kirsty Pittman

I offer instrumental lessons to students of all ages, utilizing approaches that enable young students to learn quickly and naturally, as they do in their mother tongue. The method is a ground-breaking teaching approach that focuses on the fundamental elements of learning the instrument. Drawing on the philosophies of Orff and Montessori, it uses tactile objects and visuals to teach beginners how to play the instrument.

This method teaches students to recognize and play intervals all along their

instrument, play fun pieces quickly and easily, and read independently, using alternative notation.

Once the student has mastered the physical aspect of playing, I then introduce conventional

notation. For students who show adequate capacity and dedication, I also can offer the AMEB exam program guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, voice, and piano.

My lessons are always fun and engaging, teach good technique and practice habits, and are individually tailored to inspire students. Students will have the opportunity to perform in concerts.
