STRONG MINDS,

GENTLE HEARTS

News from  Frazer Rigby

Deputy Principal

A warm welcome to the 2023 Saints year, which has commenced in a positive fashion with good order and relative calm. The young men of Saints are exceptionally good at getting into the routine of college life.

Thank you to families for adhering to the STOP-DROP-GO ZONE procedures, which have certainly been exceptionally smooth. For student safety, the zone is closed until 2:40pm on a Wednesday to allow students to return from sport on multiple buses.

Here are several things that will assist the process:

  • Pick up your son a little later as the zone tends to clear by 3.40pm or pick him up at Barlow Park. On Wednesday, the zone is clear by 2.45pm.
  • Keep moving along the zone until you reach the front of the line to collect your son, this will reduce congestion.
  • If he is not waiting for you at the front of the line, continue out of the zone and drive around the block. This will reduce congestion and allow traffic to flow.
  • Do not enter via the bus zone as four buses stop there to pick up students.

Student Absences and Leave

A reminder to parents and carers about what to do when your son is absent from school. Ideally you should phone Student Services on 4052 9157 before 8:30am or email sac.absences@cns.catholic.edu.au

Absences due to illness for more than two consecutive days, require a medical certificate which is left at the College office.

Requests for Student Absence

Please restrict holidays or other periods of leave to gazetted term holidays.

  • Requests for leave outside normal holiday times must be made in writing to the College Principal using the form below before other arrangements are made.
  • Email the completed form to sac.absences@cns.catholic.edu.au

Homeroom Teachers

These teachers are your first point of contact in relation to your son’s pastoral and academic development. You should have received a letter from his head of year introducing you to his homeroom teacher and giving you their contact details. Please feel free to contact your son’s homeroom teacher with any concerns or questions.
